Watch Out for The Garbage Truck!

39 Hours and 54 Minutes Remaining . . .

(Please take a second to vote on our poll.)

A good friend of mine forwarded me an article titled, "Beware of Garbage Trucks!™ - The Law of the GarbageTruck™ " by David J. Pollay. It's a reminder that there are people in life that love to throw their baggage at you in different forms. Some will be absolutely negative and critical towards you as a person. Others will use very hurtful words that can make a grown man cry. Some are just full of anger and resentment towards life and will take it out on you at no fault of your own. People want to take all their volatile bags of garbage and throw it on you.

The question is, "what do you do with the garbage that was thrown at you?"

Here is an exerpt from ""Beware of Garbage Trucks!™ - The Law of the GarbageTruck™ ": "And this is when my taxi driver told me what I now call, “The Law of the Garbage Truck™.” He said: Many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment. As their garbage piles up, they look for a place to dump it. And if you let them, they’ll dump it on you.

So when someone wants to dump on you, don’t take it personally. Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. Believe me. You’ll be happier."

So I started thinking, how often do I let Garbage Trucks run right over me? "And how often do I take their garbage and spread it to other people at work, at home, or on the street? It was then that I said, “I don’t want their garbage and I’m not going to spread it anymore.'”

We can't control the people around us. We may be blind-sided by their words or actions. However, we have the right to not spread the garbage and let it consume our minds and lives. Just pick yourselves up, brush off the trash and be positive.

Just because people around you are negative, doesn't mean you need to be too. A hard lesson to live by, but your life is worth it! =)
